A number of hyperlocal organizations serve the Princeton community, helping to keep our neighbors housed, fed, and engaged. Below are resources available to PPS students and families.
Mission
HIP provides a bridge to stable housing, better employment and a sustainable future.
HIP assists local individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity and eviction, building toward a sustainable future via stable housing, better employment, and a network of support services.
Mission
Princeton Children's Fund, Inc. serves to remove the economic obstacles that prevent Princeton Public Schools students from reaching their highest potential by providing equitable access to expanded learning opportunities and enrichment experiences that their families would otherwise be unable to afford.
In providing these building-block resources, we strive to close opportunity gaps that disproportionately affect our economically- challenged students. Our holistic equity-driven, student-focused mission promotes student success in the classroom and opens doors to experiences beyond the traditional school day.
Our goal is to promote an equivalent experience for all children in the
Princeton Public School community.
Mission
PMFP provides deliveries of fresh, culturally relevant groceries, essentials, and support. The families they support are connected to Princeton Public Schools and PMFP has forged strong bonds of trust and understanding with many of them over the years. Their clientele often juggle costly Princeton rents, familial obligations, and employment and health concerns,
all of which are compounded by food insecurity.
Mission
Fair. Equitable. Just.
Help P2BC create an inclusive learning environment for all students.
The mission of Princeton Parents for Black Children is to advocate for equity and to support all Black children in the Princeton Public School District.
As a collective voice that advocates for the rights of Black students within the Princeton Public School District, P2BC believes in compassion in teaching; fair, equitable and just policies and discipline;
representation in curriculum, leadership, and staff; and racial literacy from Pre-K through high school.
They strive for equity at all levels and are dedicated to ensuring the opportunity for achievement of academic success for all students. Their goal is to create and sustain a safe and inclusive learning environment
for all students, families, faculty, administrators and staff so that they feel wholly safe and welcome.
Mission
Because a child should hunger for knowledge, not for breakfast.
SHUPP provides supplemental fresh produce on the weekend and much more. Over 15% of the students in Princeton Public Schools are eligible for free or reduced-price lunches from the federal government. While such programs provide food for them during the week, there is no support available on weekends, holidays, or during the summer months.
